YouTube is a funny thing. Sometimes you’ll set up a channel and see slow but steady progress over years. Sometimes that same amount of progress can take just a week or two.

Social media experts will cite all sorts of reasons for speedy growth. Gripping thumbnails, trending content, effective advertising, or just pure luck.

Getting discovered on YouTube’s enormous global platform can be difficult. Compared to apps like TikTok that allow for huge reach with little effort, standing out or getting that algorithmic push on YouTube is no simple task.

I’ve been creating and sharing videos on my YouTube channel for a few years now. I make videos on baking recipes, eating challenges, food reviews, and vlogs. The channel has seen slow and steady growth over time, but a recent decision I made saw me gain over 3,000 new subscribers in a week.
