Why no one reads your blog; a brutal but hopefully helpful piece on why no one seems to be appreciating all the hard work you put into writing your blog on food, lifestyle, fashion, beauty etc.

You write a blog. You enjoy doing it but you’re finding that hardly anyone is reading it. You don’t really understand why you’re getting less than 100 or 1,000 hits per day on your site, but it’s disappointing anyway.

Today I want to try and help. This post sets out 5 reasons that your readership is in decline, or was never very good to begin with. Not all of it is easy to admit, but we all need to if we want to progress. Let’s get to the bottom of why no one reads your blog.

1) They don’t know who you are.

There are over SEVEN BILLION human beings on this planet, that’s a lot of people, and don’t even get me started on how many chickens there are.

Of all of these people, taking up space on both the Earth and the wonderful chaos that we call the internet, you are not well known. It’s not nice to hear that we aren’t the centre of the universe, as some of us can sometimes forget, but it’s true. Just because you started a Blogger.com website or purchased a self-hosted web domain does not mean that people know who you are. You are still just one of millions upon millions that have started…
